(2005) CLAIM
TO FAME JUST WON THE MODEL IN THE COMBINED CONFORMATION HUNTER
DIVISION AT HITS/OCALA - TWO WEEKS IN A ROW -POSSIBLY MAKING
HIM THE FIRST PINTO TO EVER WIN THE MODEL AT THE BIG A SHOWS!!!(We're
checking!)
Claim
to Fame is a 1998 Pinto Oldenburg NA Stallion standing 16.1
1/2 hands. He was top premium foal at his inspection with them.
80% TB and 20% Dutch, his perfect conformation has won him the
honor of being the ONLY PINTO HORSE TO EVER WIN AT THE DEVON
HUNTER BREEDING SHOW. He was "Best Colt" in 2000 and
won many other shows in the East that year.
In
2003 he began his under saddle show career with top hunter rider,
Scott Hofstetter. They won many Championships in Jacksonville
and HITS/OCALA. The last show at HITS they won all four over
fences classes in divisions of 100+!
Claim
to Fame has gone on to win Champinships in 2004 at HITS/Ocala,
Circuit Champion of Pre-Green at the RMI Spring Series at HITS/Ocala,
Reserve Champion at Culpeper/HITS, and Grand Hunter Reserve
Champion in Warrenton where he won the Special Conformation
Hunter Division hands down!
Bill
Moroney, President of the United States Hunter Jumper Association
and trainer at Salamander Farm in Middleburg, VA and former
US Amateur National Champion, Jane Gaston, invited Claim to
Fame to come to Middleburg, Va to train with them in the summer
of 2004. We're proud to be the only horse to have that honor.
He returned to Flying Colors in the fall and is now competing
in the Florida Winter Circuit in 2005. His first show of HITS/Ocala
2005 he brought home another Championship. He's currently competing
very successfully in Green Conformation Hunters in the 3'6"
division.
His
first foals born in 2003 have won him the coveted title of "Best
Get of Sire" at the prestigeous 2004 Upperville Colt and
Horse Show. They also held three of the "Top Five"
Places for yearlings at the East Coast International Hunter
Futurity as well as two of the "Top Five" in the Sallie
Wheeler National Hunter Breeding Championship.
Although
his striking good looks and perfect conformation turn heads
everywhere he goes, his best asset is his great temperament.
He has spent most of his life living at Flying Colors Farm where
he is cared for, ridden exclusively by, and competed in Amateur
Classes by his "51 and Older" amateur owner.
As
a young stallion, we feel it is important for Claim to Fame
to continue with his show career. However, he will be available
for breeding to a limited number of APPROVED mares following
the winter circuit. His stud fee for 2005 is $1250, which includes
the first collection. Frozen semen is also available!!
